E is for Exfoliating with a Homemade Sugar Scrub

Homemade Sugar Scrub for Natural Health

One of the easiest things you can do for your own natural health and natural beauty is to get rid of the dry, dead skin cells that accumulate and make you look and feel old.

It’s very simple to make up a sweet delicate mixture that you can apply to any area of your body.

Homemade Sugar Scrub:

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 c. sugar (I like raw or brown)

Almond or grapeseed oil to dampen the mixture.

Mix it together and apply it all over your body, using circular motions to gently exfoliate.  Sugar really gets in to your pores to remove dirt and blemishes.  Then step into a warm shower and rinse off the mixture.  Be careful as sugar might make the shower floor slippery.  Do this once or twice a month for simply luxurious and naturally healthy skin.

EXTRAS:  You can add some vanilla or some banana or some spices like ginger and cinnamon to make a delightful scent.  Or, of course, our very favorite is to add some health-giving essential oils, such as rosemary or lavender or rose, to add nourishment and relaxation to your blends.

These make beautiful gifts for friends and family when packaged in a lovely jar and tied with ribbons!
