I is for Isis, Invoker of Intuition and Illumination

What if you could see ahead into the future and feel and know what is going to happen?  What if you knew today what could improve your natural health for tomorrow?

Isis is the Egyptian High Priestess of intuition and insight.  She’s a powerful goddess to call upon to help you see into the future and develop your psychic awareness.  Isis, also called the “Mother Goddess” and one of Love’s rulers, helps us naturally beautiful women to trust and follow our intuition, to know that we have healing ability, and to open us up to the creativity that is part of our Divine being.

Intuition, sometimes referred to as “gut feeling,” is a powerful tool which can help us determine what is our truth and what is going to benefit us.  Intuition is hard to define as it is often quirky, always unexplainable, and not founded in any kind of worldly logic.  How often have you felt something to be right without any logical or reasonable way of explaining it?

A lot has been said about “women’s intuition,” the province of Isis.  Women have been shown to have a better ability to discern the nuances of body language and gestures, tone of voice and facial expressions.  The brains of women are wired differently from those of men – with more nerve cables between the right and left sides – which might explain why they are more able to connect seemingly disparate pieces of information.  Or it might be that many women are just more interested and aware of people, and more apt to enter into deep and spiritually insightful conversations.

By sitting in the silence of meditation and invoking the Goddess Isis, we naturally beautiful women can learn to trust our inner feminine wisdom. Sitting quietly, we are able to hear.  Quiet the mind by focusing on the breath or a word like “Om.”  Don’t analyze.  Don’t think.  Don’t strain.  Be open to all thoughts that pass through, letting them go as easily as they come in.  Allow the wisdom of Isis to open your inner eyes to possibilities.

When you listen to your intuition through the guidance of Isis, it can connect you and your feelings and emotions to a greater knowledge.   Like any habit that takes time to develop and any muscle  you must continue to exercise, your intuition can be trained and improved and grown.  As you go through your day you will begin to notice things, to see signs that might point the way.  Learn to trust and have faith in  your “gut feelings” and hunches.   The more often you use your “women’s intuition,” the more often you will be guided in the right direction.  And know also that if something doesn’t feel right, chances are it isn’t.

As you become more and more intuitive, trust that Goddess Isis is taking care of you, giving you insights into your best possible life, your Goddess-given right to natural health and  natural beauty.

I radiate with wisdom

I know the answers

My wisdom is reality; all else is illusion

I trust my wisdom and insight

I trust in my higher self

I hear and honor my intuition

I have the courage to follow my instincts

F is for Facelifts – For u or Forget about it?

Natural Beauty or Nature's Freak

You can’t talk about facelifts and plastic surgery these days without talking about Joan Rivers.  The woman has had something like 740 cosmetic procedures done to just about every part of her body, including her vagina (maybe?).  Maybe you’re forty or maybe you’re fifty, but are you ready to face a facelift like Joan?

COST OF FACE LIFTS*
Cost Range:
$7,000-$13,000

Average Total Cost: $9,500
Surgeons fee: $6,000
Anesthesiologist: $1,200
Facility fee: $1,700
Hospital fee: $600

We all want to continue to look beautiful no matter how old we are, but is surgery really the answer?  Look at how much it costs?  You could eat a lot of healthy food for a long time for that amount of money.

How safe is it?  Ask a lot of questions.  Do a lot of research.  Don’t just inquire about the surgeon; find out all you can about the anesthesiologist –the person who’s really got your life in their hands.  The surgeon can be a great mechanic and artist, but it’s the person with the needle and the drugs who is really important.  Then there’s the recovery period when you can’t move or eat or do anything for yourself because you’re in pain and discomfort and you need someone to take care of all your personal needs – all of them!

Why do you want this?  You need to really go deep into your inner feelings – do you think it will change your life?  Do you think you will find love, abundance, purpose and meaning?  Do you think it will improve your self-esteem and pick you up out of the depths of depression?  Do you believe you will, at 65 or 75, wake up looking like Angelina Jolie?

If you have explored all of your reasons and it comes out YES!, then do it.  But if you think that lifting your face will lift you from old to young, or ugly to gorgeous, then maybe you should think again.  Or consider fillers.  Or eat healthy foods and drink lots of water and stay out the fun.

Facelifts for Natural Beauty?  I’d say For some, For sure, For others, Forget about it!

E is for Elegance – Every Naturally BEautiful Woman Should bE ElEgant

Elegance and Natural Beauty

Audrey and Lauren – two of the most beautiful and most excellent examples of elegance we have to admire and emulate.

There’s also Grace Kelly, Catherine Deneuve, and of course, Elizabeth Taylor – mostly in her younger years.

What does it take to be an elegant woman?  It really doesn’t have anything to do with money.  Today, you can go to a consignment shop or even Goodwill and pick up some elegant clothing at rock bottom prices.  And don’t forget those Naked Lady Parties we’ve talked about where your girlfriends swap what they don’t want any more – there could be elegant clothing lurking there for you to find.

It’s more than just clothing – although style and taste do count for quite a bit.  To exude an air of elegance takes attention to how you speak, how you walk, how you conduct yourself in situations.  Personal grooming bespeaks whether you are elegant or not – mostly it’s apparent when you’re not – wrinkled clothing, roots showing, nails chipped, torn or dirty clothes, sloppy hair.  It doesn’t take a lot to iron your clothes and polish your nails.  I’m sitting here with my roots showing and believe you me, it doesn’t look elegant at all!

Posture is so important when you want to be looked upon as being elegant.  Your mother was right when she said, “Stand up straight.  Don’t slouch.”  Listen to Mom.

Manners and speech count too.  Remember to say “Please” and “Thank You.”  Speak softly.  Don’t curse.  Think before you speak so that you only speak kindly.

Elegance comes from within, not from the outside.  You may ask if striving to be elegant is necessary in the 21st century.  I say it’s always important, even for the most radical feminist political activist.  We are women. We are strong.  We want respect and admiration.  We want people to listen to our opinions and buy our products and read our books.  We want to be looked on as loving, kind, generous, concerned with the world, good mothers, good sisters, good friends.  All of these are elegant.  And every naturally beautiful woman concerned with things like natural beauty and natural health, can also strive to be concerned with her natural elegance.

D is for Diana – GoDDess of abunDance

Goddess Diana - Protector of Naturally Beautiful Women

Diana, also known as the Goddess of the Hunt, or known to the Greeks as Artemis is one of the most popular goddesses.  She is one of protectors of women and childbirth.  As Goddess of the Hunt, she also protects animals and the forest and the Earth and keeps women and the Earth fertile and productive.

Diana is the goddess who helps us to realize our goals, and manifest our abundance.  women throughout ancient history would bring their wishes and desires to altars devoted to Artemis or Diana and cover the altars with cloths of silver and silver candlesticks.  To invoke the power of Diana you can create a ritual and perform it dressed in white with white candles burning.  Call upon Diana to make your life abundant by chanting the following:

This candle I dedicate to thee

Light the way so I might see

Your presence I do call

Mother, nurturer to us all

Hail Goddess Artemis

You can also call upon Artemis or Diana to bring you abundance by using your powerful affirmations like:

  • I am open to abundance
  • I embrace life in its absolute fullness
  • I am safe and protected
  • I can do anything
  • I live life to my greatest potential.

And if these rituals and chants and affirmations don’t work, you can always play this song!
