Apple Cider Vinegar for Natural Health

Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is not only a blessing for your natural beauty, it’s also a Very Valuable remedy for a whole host of ailments ranging from weight loss to diabetes.

To improve your chances of losing weight, add 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to 16 oz of water and sip on this throughout the day.   Remember that the best way to begin a weight loss regimen is to drink plenty of water all day long.  The formula for how much water you should drink is – Take your weight (your real weight right now – not your hoped-for weight someday!!!!), divide it in half, and that’s the minimum number of ounces of water you should be drinking every day.  (See D is for Dieting Do’s and Don’ts – Rule #3 – Drink Plenty of Water.

ACV is being tested for reducing the impact of diabetes.  Preliminary findings of a 2007 study published in Diabetes Care found that type 2 diabetes patients who consumed two tablespoons of ACV before going to sleep had reduced levels of blood sugar upon awakening.  Please keep in mind that these are only preliminary studies.

ACV reportedly can help detoxify your body.  You can take a bath in hot water and ACV or if you prefer to drink your detox, add 2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to your water (remember to drink a lot of it!) and drink this to rid your body and kidneys of impurities all day long.

As with many folk remedies, do your research, check it out with other medical professionals if you have serious ailments, and be smart and sensible.  But really – a little ACV in your water can’t hurt — and it may really help!
