Abundance, prosperity, a rich and full life – it’s all yours if you just open your eyes and look around you. First you have to define what you mean by abundance – is it money? Is it love? Is it experience? Is it friendship? Abundance and prosperity might mean different things to different people. How do you measure it?
One of my favorite books is Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach (http://www.simpleabundance.com/). It’s a day book of wisdom to guide you on the path to uncovering your true desires and opening your heart and soul up to life’s abundance.
“Whatever we are waiting for – peace of mind, contentment, grace, the inner awareness of simple abundance – it will surely come to us, but only when we are ready to receive it with an open and grateful heart.” Sarah Ban Breathnach
A lot has been said about the spiritual Law of Attraction and how one might manifest more abundance into their lives. The principle has been repeated for millennia, in one religion after another. Jesus said, “Ask and ye shall receive.” The Kabbalah speaks of Shefa and how to manifest abundance by invoking the power of the word to unlock a powerful kinetic energy, which when combined with your intent for the highest good and aligned with Divine will, can move mountains or feed the world. New Thought religions believe that understanding your oneness with all of the Universe opens you up to all the abundance and prosperity available.
Abundance, no matter what it might constitute to you personally, starts by believing that it is possible to achieve it. It can possibly be helped along by techniques such as visualization (pray believing that ye have), by meditation (listening to the still, small silence to hear the answers), acting as if (having an attitude adjustment and being prepared), or other hands-on techniques such as vision boards or soul collages or reciting affirmations or keeping a gratitude journal or . . . on and on.
Today’s lesson in Simple Abundance is “Work with what you have.” What is abundant in your life right this minute? How about just for today concentrating on that one thing that you know you have and being grateful for having it? Do you have abundant natural health? Do you have abundant natural beauty?
And there you Are – Abundant Already!
