Look at that Lavender! Is it not beautiful? And it’s so good for your natural beauty. And for your natural health as it destresses and calms and can help to put you to sleep. We’ll talk about that more in the next post!
We’ve already written about making your own Lavender Dream Pillow and I heartily recommend making one or buying one, especially if you are traveling or having a tough time falling asleep.
Lavender relaxes and so it’s perfect for the bath. You can just run hot water into the bath and add about 10 or 15 drops of pure lavender essential oil while the water is running.
Or you can get a little fancier and make a delightful, delicious smelling, and moisturizing Lavender Milk and Honey Bath and feel like Cleopatra herself.
- 3 TBL. dried Lavender flowers
- 1 1/2 C. whole milk, cream, or combination
- 1/3 C. Honey (organic is best)
Blend lavender flowers in a blender until they become a powder, turning off the blender every now and then to scrape down the sides as necessary. Whisk together lavender powder, milk (or cream) and honey in a glass bowl, then pour into a jar. When you’re ready to take your divinely delicious bath, just shake the jar and pour half of the mixture into the bath. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Makes enough for 2 baths.
You can find dried lavender in most health food stores or grow some lavender easily and dry your own!
