Men and Sex – we have some Valuable information. Okay – we all know this is a blog about Natural Beauty and Natural Health for Women, but a lot of the women here love the men; and a lot of men’s issues affect our well-being and lives, and in turn our natural health.
If the guy of your life is having a hard time – or rather, if he is not having a hard time – he may be searching for something to make life simpler, or actually harder. Stay away from the little blue pill – Viagra – cause the side effects are not worth the momentary pleasure — IMHO!
Side effects of Viagra include hives, rashes, difficulty breathing, itching, tightness in the chest, painful and prolonged erection, numbness, memory loss, ringing in the ears, seizures, persistent or severe dizziness; sudden decrease or loss of hearing or loss of vision in one or both eyes; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; irregular or fast heartbeat, fainting; chest pain.
Is sex really worth that? Good health is a turn on, and crotchety old complaining men (or women) are a real turn off!
What can you guys do? I’ve written a lot about aphrodisiac foods, like caviar and oysters which are both full of sexually stimulating zinc. Chocolate contains a few uplifting neurotransmitters including serotonin and phenylethylamine. Asparagus and other phallic shaped fruits and vegetables have their place at the sexual table. And heat-producing ingredients like chili peppers can turn up the sexual heat as well. (See previous posts - O is for Oysters – Ooh La La and Z is for Zinc – AphrodiZiac!)
If nothing else, you’ll have a great meal – and if your partner’s like me – that sexual stimulus enough!
L-Arginine, an amino acid found in nuts, meats, eggs, cheese and coconut milk, forms nitric oxide in the body, which increases blood flow to the genitals. Ginseng is a Chinese remedy that’s been used as an aphrodisiac for centuries; and the Journal of Urology is promoting it to men for its ability to act as an alternative to Viagra.
Peruvian Maca root from Peru has helped South American men to have increased semen volume, increased sperm counts, and enhanced sperm motility. Also from South American is Muira Puama, another herb that decreases the incidence of erectile dysfunction, while increasing libido and sexual pleasure. South America and the rainforest give us Catuaba Bark and Guarana – all of which are aphrodisiacs without the harmful side effects of Viagra.
So all you Voluptuous and Virile men out there – you’d be Very Very healthy and smart to choose them instead of Viagra!!!
