K is for Kiwi Keeping your naturally beautiful face Kool and Refreshed

Kiwi for Natural Beauty

Kool as a Kiwi!  That’s what you can be when you make a refreshing facial mask out of this beautiful fruit!  Kiwis are full of Vitamin C which can tighten the pores of the skin on your face and help get rid of oily skin and dark spots.

You can eat the inside of the fruit (yum!) and use the skin to gently cleanse your face to rid it of impurities and make the most of the antioxidants in the fruit.  Or you can make a wonderful cleaner by putting cut up pieces of the fruit into the blender and liquefying it.  Apply with circular motion to your face.  Your face might sting a little bit, but this just means that the acid from the kiwi juice is working to eliminate the impurities on your skin.   Let it sit for about 15 minutes and then rinse your face with lukewarm water.  Apply toner and your favorite natural moisturizer.

You can also make a wonderful facial mask using your breakfast!

1/2 banana
1 kiwi
2 tablespoon plain yogurt

Blend all ingredients together. Clean your face well before applying the mask. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water.  Apply toner and moisturizer.  Not only can you lick your face, but you will glow and radiate natural health and natural beauty!

K is for Kitchen Cosmetics 2 – Kiwi for your Face

Kiwi Kleansers for Natural Beauty

Of Kourse, we’ve been talking about Kiwis this week, so I happen to have some in my frig.  I just ate some with my yogurt and granola, but now let’s make a face cleaner out of the leftover kiwis.

Kiwis are full of Vitamins C, A & E – all excellent for naturally healthy and beautiful skin.  The anti-oxidants and essential fatty acids available when you eat a kiwi are also great for your skin.

In my kitchen, in addition to those kiwis, I also have olive oil and eggs which make a great facial mask.  Take 1 TBL.  kiwi juice, 1 TBL. olive oil and the yolk of one egg and mix it all up.  Slather it all over your face and leave it on  for 15 minutes.  Rinse with warm water and feel fabulous!

Kiwi and vodka make a great toner for your skin.

1 cup boiling water
1 ripe kiwi fruit, peeled and mashed
1 tablespoon vodka

Pour the boiling water over the mashed kiwi fruit and cool for about 20 minutes.  Strain the mixture to liquefy the solids. Add vodka and stir. Use a cotton pad to apply the mixture to the skin and rinse with cool water.  Keep the leftover mixture in the frig for no more than 10 days.
