Z is for Zinc – JaZZ up your Zex life!

Oysters which look downright sexy, rank on the top on the list of aphrodisiacs, foods that can jaZZ up your Zex Life.   Other sexy looking foods like figs and truffles and chocolate syrup can zap up your zex life too!  Legend has it that Moctezuma, the Mexican Aztec king, drank up to 50 cups of chocolate a day to sustain his sex drive with his harem of 600 women!

Oysters are full of zinc, the mineral responsible  increasing your sex drive, for producing testosterone, and for maintaining progesterone levels, all of which have an effect on your libido. Lowered levels of zinc in a man’s body can lead to lower or no sex drive and lower sperm count.  Zinc can be an important factor in keeping a guy’s prostate healthy.  Research been shown that men with zinc deficiency are more likely to be impotent.

As for zinc and us naturally beautiful women, well as we get older we certainly don’t want our sex drive and libido to diminish and our juices to stop flowing.  So zinc is key in healthy senior women also.

Zinc’s got a lot of other health benefits.  It’s important for a healthy immune system and for  fighting skin problems such as acne, boils and sore throats.   Zinc keeps your hair, nails and skin healthy and helps to grow strong muscles.

There’s a shortage of zinc in a lot of people’s diet due to how food is processed these days.  Also our stressful lifestyle promotes fast depletion of zinc levels in the body. High levels of stress, as well as too much caffeine, smoking, and alcohol consumption increase the need for zinc.  A healthy dosage daily is 15 to 25 mg of zinc is recommended.  But keep in mind that too much zinc can be too much of a good thing – and cause adverse reactions and toxicity.

Z is for Zinc – aphrodiZiac!

Zinc for your Natural Health and Love Life

We’ve all heard this one – oysters are aphrodisiacs.  But have you ever wondered why?  They are pretty sexy looking, in a very feminine way.  But is it just the anatomical looks and that wonderful cool slurp as it slides icily down your waiting, expectant open gullet?

Most sexual thoughts and experiences start in the mind with the suggestion of lovemaking.  Each of the senses plays a part –  and the look, feel, smell, and notion of eating oysters as an aphrodisiac might be all you would need to “stir up the pot.”

Truth is, it’s more than just the sensual look of the oyster and the sexual feeling of eating one that makes oysters top on the list of aphrodisiacs.  Oysters are chock full of zinc.  Zinc is the mineral responsible for maintaining progesterone levels, and progesterone has a positive effect on the libido. It’s been shown that men with zinc deficiency are more likely to be impotent.

You can eat oysters just cold on the half shell, or like Forrest Gump and shrimp — you can boil ‘em, you can bake ‘em, you can fry ‘em and you can stew ‘em.  You can stuff them like Rockefeller or you can make a creamy chowder.  Remember what you’re cooking and enjoy yourself!
